Qualifications

• Completion of high school is required
• Completion of a 3-4 year apprenticeship program for bakers, completion of a college program or several years of commercial baker is required.
• Must be a good team member with great communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and standing for extended periods is required
• Able to handle lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility in schedule is required dependent on the business needs.

Hours of Work: 40 hours Salary: $ 25.00 to $28.90 / hour

MAIN DUTIES:

• Supervise other bakers and kitchen staff
• Hire and train baking personnel and kitchen staff
• Ensure quality of products meets established standards
• Inspect and ensure all food safe measures are in place and being followed by bakery personnel
• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce
• Purchase baking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations of the bakery
• Frost and decorate cakes and/or other baked goods
• Bake mixed doughs and batters
• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, muffins, cookies, cakes and icings according to recipes and special customer orders.
• Ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for other shifts
• Keep records related to deliveries, inventory and production levels for managers to see
• Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods

Shifts per day are as follows and assigned accordingly:

• 5 AM to 2:00 PM
• 6 AM to 3:00 PM
• 7 AM to 4:00 PM
• 9 AM to 6:00 PM
