Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Abilities: 

• Minimum of 5 years related experience required
• Completion of Journeyperson certificate in electrical 
• Experience with high voltage an asset
• Experience with PLC and electronics an asset 
• Knowledge of current Canadian Electrical Code 
• Available to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions, including weekend and PM shifts 
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. safely, including tower climbing (training provided) 

Description/Duties

Essential Job Functions: 

• Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrades and new installations of all electrical and control systems on mountain (lifts, infrastructure, buildings and facilities)
• Remain in compliance with current Canadian Electrical Code 
• Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects 
• Prevent breakdown of systems by adhering to a comprehensive maintenance schedule 
• Training for and responding to emergency situations 
• Communicating and logging tasks performed to keep organized records of jobs completed, including the use of CMMS software 
• Working with the electrical team to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime of the overall function of the resort 
• Working with a large variety of equipment and voltages, ranging from 12V to 12.5kV 
• Working closely with all other departments including contractors 
• Perform all other duties as assigned 

Compensation 

• $39.20 - $44.53 per hour plus shift premium of additional $4/hr for qualifying shifts
