Qualifications

  • Must have valid apprenticeship in place. 
  • Apprentices from 1st - 3rd year will be reviewed.
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License preferred with a clean abstract.
  • Fall Arrest.
  • CSTS.
  • H2S Alive.
  • First Aid. 

Position Details:

  • Local candidate preferred. If not local, must be willing to relocate to Fort St John, BC. 
  • Must be or willing to join Operating Engineers Local 115. Current members must be in good standing. Apprentices are paid as per the Collective Agreement.

Description/Duties

NCSG Crane and Heavy Haul Services is currently accepting applications for Mobile Crane Apprentices in our Fort St. John, BC. branch.

This will be a fantastic learning and growth opportunity for a local candidate. The Apprentice Crane Operator will be responsible for learning and effectively performing preforming Lifting and Rigging Services in a professional manner. This position would consist of primarily a Monday to Friday work schedule with occasional weekend work as required. Wage will be based on the Crane Rental Collective Agreement. In addition NCSG will make employer contributions to the unionized Health and Wellness, Pension and Training Plans.

  • To safely and effectively perform lifting and rigging duties as needed. 
  • To follow all company safety guidelines for hoisting. 
  • To follow all industry standards for performing lifting duties as needed. 
  • Attend training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
