About You / What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for dynamic Recreation Instructors to share your expertise and ignite creativity in our classes. If you love teaching and want to inspire others through your skills, we’d love to have you on our team! We are currently hiring for instructors for the following disciplines:
- Woodworking
- Lapidary
- Drama
We can work with you to create classes based on your interests and availability. Shifts are varied throughout the year and programs run out of different facilities in the City, however, the primary locations will be Dogwood Pavilion and Maillardville Community Centre.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidates will be team players with excellent communication and people skills. Prior experience instructing adults in Lapidary, Woodworking or Drama is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Emergency First Aid and CPR ‘C’ certification or equivalent is an asset. Shifts are varied throughout the year and programs run out of different facilities in the City.
What We Offer:
The City offers an hourly wage of $27.98 - $33.58 per hour + 4% in lieu of benefits for Lapidary & Woodworking instructors and $32.92 - $38.40 per hour +4% in lieu of benefits for Drama instructors. In addition, you can anticipate a lively, fast-paced environment, plus opportunities for personal and professional growth.
