Qualifications

What you bring:

• Valid Driver's License with a relatively clean driving record
• Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
• Must be available to work overtime 
• Able to occasionally travel to work at other locations as needed, or travel for training purposes

Description/Duties

Refrigeration/HVAC Technician - pre-apprentice (laborer helper)

$19 per hour

A day in the life:

You will be responsible for providing service to various clients throughout South Okanagan. As a Journeyperson's role. Your immediate responsibilities include, but are not limited:

• Fill out reports accurately out reports, providing notes where necessary
• Tag equipment and record model and serial numbers
• Safe handling of refrigerant and filling out refrigerant logs
• Support Journeyperson/apprentices on service and construction jobs
• Assist in performing performing basic HVAC/R Maintenance
• Assist in performing basic refrigeration pipping practices
• Perform basic hardware (ex: hinges and door closers, door gaskets)
• Deliver equiptment and materials.
• Clean and refurbish equiptment.
• Perform pressure testing, evacuating, and charging
