Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in welding.
• Certificate of Apprenticeship with Interprovincial (Red Seal) endorsement.
• Six to ten years of recent, relevant industry experience.
• Strong commitment to learner-centered teaching practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.

Description/Duties

As a Vocational Instructor – Welding, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development. Your expertise will support students in acquiring the technical and professional skills necessary to succeed in the welding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and assess students in welding courses.
• Develop and revise course materials to ensure industry relevance.
• Advise and support students in their academic and career development.
• Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student work.
• Participate in curriculum development and instructional planning.
• Represent Okanagan College at industry and academic events.
